Just before dawn at a particular time of year, Venus rises above the horizon, pulling the sun up. For a time, before the Sun turns the horizon into a brilliant glow, one can see a few planets and the moon align. This can be seen as a magical moment, a moment to pause, a moment to realize our place in the solar system and our relationship to the Sun.
