I am a painter originally from New Orleans Louisiana in the U.S. I recieved my BFA in fine arts from CCAD and recently graduated from the 4 year Atelier of Juliette Aristides. Currently in development is a body of work dealing with themes of struggle, isolation and diaster. 

My family was affected by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and the multi figure painting I am including in my application was a year long project exploring this event. It is 48in x 72in and shows people on a raft in floodwaters. It was inspired artistically by Gericault's Medusa painting.

I am working on creating more multi figure paintings along these lines and would love to join the World Wide Kitsch community. I hope to see what others in this community are creating, engage in meaningful dialogue and learn more of other's voices. Thanks
