Vittorio Sgarbi, the celebrity Art critic and politician, has been selected to curate the Italian Pavilion at the 2011 Venice Biennale. Andrew Wyeth, one of the most popular and also most lambasted artists in the history of American art, a reclusive linchpin in a colorful family dynasty of artists from tiny Chadds Ford, Penn., whose precise realist views of hardscrabble rural life became icons of national culture and sparked endless debates about the nature of modern art, has died at his home in suburban Philadelphia.
He was 91.

The Kitsch Biennale 2008 will take place September 11 to October 15, 2008 in Pasinger Fabrik in Munich, Germany. This is a juried exhibition and the application forms is posted on www.worldwidekitsch.com. A printed catalogue will accompany the exhibition. The application deadline is December 1, 2007.
